1.      Parents are urged to sign up for a committee ASAP

a.      We are looking for parents to join the Playground Committee, as well as the other committees! If you have an interest in one of them, please call/email the school

b.      We need parents to sign up for the Annual Dinner and the Survival Race ***ASAP***

2.      Pre-K and Kindergarten

a.      Teachers Iawentas and Kaseniio will be out on Monday for a training program, it is not required that your students are in, however, we will be having substitutes in to take their place for the day

3.      Please send in swim wear with your children, as the weather has been hot!

4.      NEW PARENTS:Please send your email addresses to Okiokwinon as soon as possible; we also send out notes home via email and we would like to include you on our email list.

5.      Minutes from the parent meeting are available in the Office

We would like to send out a HUGE niawenko:wa to Wahiarakohe for all of her hard work that she put in here at the school over the summer. Her presence and help has been fantastic and she truly put herself up to the challenges of our daily schedules! If you see her, please send her a warm nia:wen as she continues on with her education.

School Calendar– Copies of the DRAFT 2012-2013 school calendar will be available in the school building.  Please review the calendar and submit recommendations to the office.  A copy will also be posted on the website and the facebook page.  

Monthly Parent MeetingThe next scheduled parent meeting will be on Thursday June 7th @ 4:00pm please make all arrangements to attend.

Akwesasne Fruit Tree Project

The Akwesasne Task Force on the Environment (ATFE) has been working to restore the fruit tree orchard on Dr. Solomon Cook’s property behind the Adolescent group home for 10 years now for the benefit of the community. With ATFE’s hard work and commitment and the help of other organizations, this is one success story we can share with the community.
